Klinion Kliniderm Alginate Standard Dressings
Klinion Kliniderm Alginate Standard Dressings are sterile, nonwoven calcium/sodium alginates consisting of a high G (Guluronic acid) alginate. Klinion Kliniderm Alginate Standard Dressings are soft, clear gelling, conforming, highly absorbent and ensure intact removal. In contact with wound fluid the dressing forms a gel. If used correctly, does not stick to the wound.
An Alginate Standard Dressing is used for wounds that release a lot of exudate. In contact with wound exudate, a form-retaining gel is formed, which creates a moist wound environment and ensures optimal wound healing. Klinion Kliniderm Alginate Standard cleanses the wound by absorbing exudate and debris. The dressing does not adhere to the wound, which reduces pain during dressing changes and does not damage newly formed tissue. It ensures intact removal from the wound. The Cavity version is especially suitable for deep wounds. Klinion Kliniderm Alginate Standard is to be covered with a secondary dressing such as a transparent wound film (Kliniderm Film) or a foam wound dressing (Kliniderm Foam).
