Kerlix™ AMD antimicrobial dressings are impregnated with 0.2% Polyhexamethylene Biguanide (PHMB), a highly effective antiseptic that can fend off bacteria that traditional products cannot.

Kerlix™ AMD dressings for use as primary or secondary dressings for:

1. Irrigate the wound with appropriate cleansing solution or saline.

2. Gently pat the wound and surrounding skin to remove excess saline

3. Kerlix™ AMD Rolls can be used either wet or dry. The Clinician will need to evaluate each wound for exudate management and choose the appropriate protocol for moisture balance.

4. Fluff the dressing slightly and loosely layer into the wound.

5. Be sure to tuck the dressing into undermining or tunneled areas within the wound.

6. Continue filling the wound until level with surrounding skin.

7. Cover with secondary dressing and secure in place.

8. If using Kerlix™ Rolls for skin folds, cut a piece of dressing slightly longer than the fold and tuck into affected area, leaving a section of dressing exposed for easy removal.
