Klinion Kliniderm Film With Pad Dressings

A transparent, self-adhesive film dressing with a non-woven absorbent pad for superficial wounds with slight exudate.
Klinion Kliniderm Film with Pad is a self-adhesive, transparent, semi-permeable film dressing that incorporates a non-woven absorbent, non-adherent pad. It provides a flexible covering for superficial wounds with light exudate.
This film dressing helps maintain a moist wound environment, supporting the natural healing process. The absorbent pad is made of a viscose/polyester blend with a micro-perforated polyethylene contact layer, designed to minimise adherence to the wound bed.

Product Benefits

  • Transparent film allows wound inspection without removal
  • Semi-permeable: waterproof yet permeable to oxygen and water vapour
  • Absorbent non-woven pad manages slight exudate
  • Maintains a moist wound environment to promote healing
  • Flexible and conformable for patient comfort
  • Gentle adhesive designed for atraumatic removal
  • Provides a protective barrier against external contaminants
  • Indications

Kliniderm Film with Pad is suitable for the management of superficial wounds with low levels of exudate, such as:
  • Post-operative wounds
  • Minor cuts and abrasions
  • Superficial pressure injuries
  • Donor sites (superficial)
  • Applying Klinion Kliniderm Film With Pad Dressings

    1. Clean the wound area according to local protocols. Ensure the peri-wound skin is dry
    2. Select a dressing size that ensures the absorbent pad overlaps the wound margins by approximately 1.5 cm (0.6″).
    3. Remove the release liner and apply the dressing smoothly from the centre outward to avoid creases or air pockets.
    4. If backing films are present, remove them as indicated by the printed tabs.

    Dressing Change and Removal

The dressing may be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound condition and exudate levels.
To remove, gently peel back one corner and continue lifting until the dressing is fully released. If adherence is noted, moisten the edge with sterile saline to ease removal.
