PolyMem® MAX Film Adhesive Dressings

A unique multifunctional polymeric membrane dressing designed to support healing, relieve pain, and reduce inflammation.

PolyMem® Dressings are a hydrophilic polyurethane matrix dressing with a mild, non-toxic wound cleanser, a soothing moisturiser, a superabsorbent and a semi-permeable film backing*.
PolyMem® MAX Film Adhesive is the thicker, more absorbent version of the standard PolyMem® Film Adhesive dressing. It combines the proven benefits of PolyMem’s multifunctional polymeric membrane with an ultra-thin adhesive polyurethane film backing.

Product Benefits

The ONLY dressing of its kind…When PolyMem® is applied to the wound, the dressing components work individually and synergistically to support wound healing and pain relief¹.
  • Cleanses, fills, absorbs, and moistens – an integrated system that continuously draws, absorbs, and retains wound fluid.
  • Pain relief – provides a documented analgesic effect by modulating nociceptor activity.¹
  • Supports healing – moisturisers within the dressing help maintain an optimal moist wound environment.
  • Modulates inflammation – helps reduce excessive inflammation and associated tissue damage.
  • Reduces bruising and oedema – assists in minimising swelling in and around the wound.
  • Non-traumatic removal – atraumatic dressing changes reduce pain and protect peri-wound skin.
  • Self-adhesive – ultra-thin semi-permeable film provides secure fixation and is waterproof and breathable.

  • Applying PolyMem® MAX Film Adhesive Dressings

    1. Select size – choose a dressing with the membrane pad slightly larger than the wound.
    2. Prepare wound – cleanse per local protocol if required (PolyMem will continue cleansing after application).
    3. Apply – place the dressing film-side out, membrane pad directly over the wound.
    4. Secure – additional fixation is not required for adhesive versions; only non-adhesive dressings need secondary fixation.
    5. Wear time – change as indicated by exudate levels and local protocols.
NOTE: a dramatic increase in wound fluid may be observed during the first few days due to the fluid attraction. This is not uncommon and indicates that the dressing is working
