Klinion® Kliniderm® Foam Silicone Lite Dressings

Gentle, Conformable and Comfortable

Klinion® Kliniderm® Foam Silicone Lite is a lightweight absorbent polyurethane foam dressing with a soft silicone wound-contact layer. The silicone layer ensures gentle adhesion and atraumatic removal, while the foam core absorbs and retains exudate. It supports a moist wound-healing environment and is particularly suited for wounds with low to moderate exudate.
Not made with natural rubber latex or DEHP (di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate).

  • Applying Klinion® Kliniderm® Foam Silicone Lite Dressings

    1. Clean the wound area following local protocols, and ensure that the peri-wound skin is dry.
    2. Choose a dressing size that overlaps the wound margins by approximately 2 cm.
    3. Remove the protective release liner, apply the adhesive side to the wound, and press down the edges to secure.
To remove: Gently peel the dressing away while supporting surrounding skin until fully detached.

    Dressing Change and Removal

    1. A Kliniderm® Foam Silicone Lite dressing may remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on exudate levels and wound condition.
    2. Replace the dressing earlier if saturation occurs, or as per clinical judgement or local wound-care protocols.
    3. When removing, support adjacent skin and gently lift the dressing.
    4. If removal is difficult, saturate with sterile saline and pause before continuing.
    5. After removal, cleanse or irrigate the wound as required by local practice.

    Precautions

  • In case of suspected or confirmed infection, seek input from a healthcare professional for appropriate treatment.
  • Do not use with oxidising agents (e.g. hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide), as these may degrade the absorbent component.
  • Not to be used in patients with known sensitivity to silicone, polyurethane, or acrylic adhesives.
  • Sterile only if packaging and seal are intact — do not use if damaged.
  • Single-use only. Re-use may lead to serious infection.
  • Do not re-sterilise.
  • For external use only. Use under supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.
