Klinion Kliniderm Silicone Wound Contact Layer Dressings

Gentle, Transparent and Flexible

Klinion Kliniderm® Silicone Wound Contact Layer is a flexible wound dressing. The soft silicone does not stick to the wound surface and reduces trauma to delicate new tissue upon removal. The Klinion Kliniderm® Silicone Contact Layer consists of 3 layers: a PET film, a polyurethane net that is one-side coated with a soft silicone and a release film. The middle layer is the functional component and the coated surface should contact the wound. The porous structure of the wound contact layer allows exudate to pass into a secondary absorbent dressing. The wound contact layer prevents the secondary dressing from sticking to the wound and ensures atraumatic dressing changes. The wound contact layer seals around the wound edges, preventing the exudate from leaking onto the surrounding skin, thus minimizing the risk of maceration. High transparency allows wound inspection during application and wear.
Not made with natural rubber latex or DEHP. Medical device.

    1. Clean the wound area according to local protocols. Ensure the peri-wound skin is dry
    2. Select a suitable size so that the dressing overlaps the wound margins by at least 1cm. Larger wounds may require more overlap
    3. Gently apply directly onto the wound site, peel off the carrier film of the dressing and gently smooth down the wound edges to ensure good adhesion
    4. Cover the contact layer with an appropriate secondary absorbent dressing such as Klinion Kliniderm Superabsorbent
