Klinion® Kliniderm® Foam Silicone Border Flexible Dressings

Klinion® Kliniderm® Foam Silicone Border Flexible features Z-shaped cuts in the foam, making the dressing more flexible and extensible to conform over joints and curved surfaces¹. The silicone border provides gentle adhesion, minimising trauma to the peri-wound skin during dressing changes¹. The foam core absorbs exudate while the outer layer allows vapor transmission and acts as a bacterial barrier¹.
Not made with natural rubber latex or DEHP¹.

    Dressing Change and Removal

    1. Kliniderm® Foam Silicone Dressings can remain in place for up to 7 days, dependent on the condition of the patient and the level of exudate.
    2. Replace Kliniderm® Foam Silicone when the dressing has reached its absorbent capacity or whenever good wound practice dictates that the dressing should be changed.
    3. Gently remove the dressing from the wound bed and skin (by supporting the surrounding skin) and dispose according to local procedures and guidelines. If removal appears to be difficult, saturate the dressing with sterile saline solution.
    4. If required, irrigate the wound site according to good wound care practice.

    Precautions

  • In case of signs of infection, consult a healthcare professional for adequate infection treatment.
  • Do not use with oxidising solutions such as hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide, as these can break down the absorbent component of the dressing.
  • Do not use on patients with a known sensitivity to silicone, polyurethane films, foams or acrylic adhesives.
  • Sterile if pouch and seal are intact. Do not use if damaged.
  • Do not re-use. Re-use can cause serious infections.
  • Do not re-sterilize.
  • For external use only.
  • For use under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
